Introduction: Hi My name is Suzi Kalmus, and I just moved here from San Francisco. I have been in the nonprofit world for over 20 years, in fundraising, publicity, event management and volunteer management. Quite a mouthful. In any case, I am interested in
What are your favorite books? Movies?: Favorite movies: Woody Allen -- ANYTHING he directs! Jules and Jim, Zefferelli's ROmeo and Juliet, Sleepless in Seattle Books: TUesdays with Morrie, The Foundation Trilogy, Refuse to Choose (Barbara Sher), A Year by the Sea, Ruth Reichl's memoirs
What helps you stimulate your imagination?: End of the day-- as I'm getting to sleep, sometimes the ideas just jump at me. Also, as I'm reading (which I do voraciously) books, magazines, articles etc.
What have you started?: Personal organizing service (started right after the glbt marriage was approved by Mayor Gavin Newsom in San Francisco) "recycled volunteers" --I taught and trained volunteers in many venues, and at the same time volunteered myself as a role model. Public Relations Consultant in nonprofit, the arts etc.
